What we collect
When you request a quote, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the job address or ZIP code, a description of the work, your scheduling preferences, and any photos you send separately by text or email. If you call or text, we keep the number you reached us from and the substance of the conversation. Our website also records ordinary technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the page that referred you.
Why we collect it
We use this information to price your job, schedule it, coordinate the crews and equipment it needs, confirm details before work begins, invoice you, and follow up afterward. Photos are used only to scope and price the work. Technical information is used to keep the site working, understand which pages are useful, and measure where requests come from.
Text messages
If you text us or ask us to text you, we will reply by text about your quote and your job. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send marketing texts. Reply STOP at any time and we will stop texting you, though we may still need to call about a job already scheduled.
Who sees it
Your information is shared only with the people and service providers needed to complete your request, and only to the extent that the work requires. We also use ordinary service providers to host the site, deliver email and process payments.
Analytics
When site analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google may set cookies to do this. You can block them with your browser settings or Google's opt-out tools without affecting the quote form or the site.
Where requests come from
If you reach this site from an advertisement or a link that carries campaign information, your browser stores that information in its session storage for this browsing session, and in any case for no longer than 30 days. Some browsers restore a previous session when reopened, so this information can persist past closing a tab or window. It is included with a quote request you choose to send. What travels with the request is the service page you landed on, the campaign or click reference from that link, and a reference code for the request itself. Your name, email address, phone number, street address and ZIP code are never used as campaign information, and nothing is read from your browsing history or from your activity on other sites. We use this to understand which pages and adverts bring in requests, and to connect a request with its quote, job and invoice in our own business records. Source information that is actually submitted with an enquiry becomes part of that business request record and is kept with it under the retention described below; clearing your browser does not remove it from our records. This site loads Google’s advertising and analytics tags, which set Google cookies in your browser. Together they record which pages you view, a small number of interactions such as tapping a phone number or moving through the quote form, and the fact that a quote request was completed. The page address we report contains the site’s address and page path, plus only validated Google ad click references (gclid, gbraid and wbraid) present in the current page’s address. Other address parameters and fragments, including ZIP codes and quote answers, are excluded, and a referring address is reduced to its site and path. No name, contact detail, address, ZIP code, free-text description or photo is sent to Google, and we have not enabled enhanced conversions, customer-data matching or Google’s cross-device signals. The advertising conversion carries only the request’s own reference code and a value of zero. Measurement of this kind cannot be complete or guaranteed: it depends on your browser, your cookie and tracking settings, and whether the tags load at all, and it does not follow you across devices. Our internal job system is updated by our staff rather than by an automatic connection.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and job records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, perform the work, and meet our tax and accounting obligations; some business records are generally kept for seven years. The contact and job details you submit through our quote form are sent through Web3Forms, the third-party service that delivers the form, and are handled under that provider’s terms. Photos sent separately by text or email are received through those channels and kept by Iron Elk with the quote record. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ironelkservices@gmail.com or call (443) 941-0887. We will respond within thirty days. We may keep records we are required by law to keep.
Security
We protect your information with reasonable measures, including encrypted connections to the site and limited access to job records. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against every loss.
Children
Our services are for property owners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new policy.
