Before we schedule

Selections, layout, utilities, waterproofing, permits and trade scopes must be defined before scheduling. Iron Elk confirms the operator and credentials for specialty work.

Planning the job

Refresh the room or change how it works

  • A kitchen or bathroom remodel can follow the existing arrangement or create a different one.
  • Items being retained, such as an appliance, vanity component or adjoining finish, need to be identified before work begins.

Make room for the remodel while living around it

  • An occupied home still needs practical routes for people, belongings and deliveries.
  • A remodel creates temporary demands on nearby space: somewhere to keep the contents of the room, a route for debris and a place for replacement materials awaiting installation.
  • These arrangements belong alongside the project schedule, even though they are separate from the trade work itself.
  • Flooring transitions, adjacent surfaces and retained features can otherwise sit between separate scopes.
  • Naming them in the plan helps define a complete handoff from removal through the agreed finish.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep my own contractor and just use the strip-out?

Yes. Interior strip-outs works behind any remodeler; this page is for people who want both sides arranged at once.

Who handles plumbing and electrical disconnects?

The licensed trades, before demo, coordinated in the same schedule.
