Iron Elk Site and Property Services is hiring a Maryland Licensed Tree Expert for a part-time W-2 position based around Elkton and surrounding Maryland job sites. This is a field role involving property visits, estimating and on-site supervision.

What you will do

  • Visit properties, assess tree conditions, access and nearby hazards, and prepare clear estimates.
  • Define the work, equipment needs, wood removal, stump work and cleanup included in each quote.
  • Plan and supervise assigned tree jobs, communicate with the people doing the work and review the finished scope.
  • Explain the proposed work to customers and identify situations requiring a different approach before scheduling.

What you bring

  • An active Maryland Licensed Tree Expert (LTE) license.
  • Experience estimating tree work and supervising its safe completion.
  • Clear customer communication and the ability to attend Elkton-area properties and assigned job sites.

Pay and schedule

$40–$55 per hour, based on relevant experience and the agreed responsibilities. This is a part-time W-2 employee position. Availability for estimates and supervised work is coordinated around the job schedule.

Benefits and other compensation

Benefits are limited to those required by applicable law, including sick and safe leave where applicable. No additional employer-provided benefits are offered. Overtime is paid when required by law. No bonuses or commissions are offered.

You may continue doing tree work for your own customers alongside this role. We will coordinate your availability for Iron Elk estimates and the jobs you supervise.
