Where it can go

Fixtures mount beneath a supported structure so the light falls on the space below: the perimeter beam of a covered porch, the front, side and house-side beams of an attached pergola, or the rear eaves and gables above a patio or outdoor kitchen. Dimmable, on a schedule, and the same warm white as the front of the house.

Free photo mock-up

Send a photo. See the glow.

Start with a clear daylight photo of the house from the street. Tell us which rooflines and areas you want lit and the colors you have in mind. Iron Elk may ask for an extra angle, then prepares a concept of how the lighting could look before the final measured quote.

  1. Take one clear daytime photo of the front of the house.
  2. Start the quote, choose Permanent Lighting, and ask for a lighting mock-up in the project details. After you send it, text or email a clear daytime photo of the house with your name and request reference; additional views can follow the same way.
  3. We reply with a concept and the next step toward a measured quote.

A mock-up shows a possible look for your home. It is not a guaranteed exact result; the measured quote confirms coverage and placement.

Where we work

Iron Elk is based in Elkton. Permanent lighting requests are reviewed across Cecil County and selected Harford County ZIPs in Maryland, New Castle County in Delaware, and southern Chester County in Pennsylvania, including Elkton, North East, Newark and Oxford.

Availability depends on the job-site ZIP, project scope and schedule. Where the power connection requires a licensed electrician, one is coordinated as part of the work and listed in the written scope.

Frequently asked questions

Where can the lights go on a patio?

Beneath supported structures: the perimeter beam of a covered porch, the front, side and house-side beams of an attached pergola, and the rear eaves and gables above a patio or outdoor kitchen. Fixtures mount to the structure, not to furniture or the paving.

Is the per-foot rate the same for a patio?

The roofline rates ($32 per foot installed, or $28 per foot for the first 10 homes to book this season, plus $3 per qualifying foot for second-story, steep-pitch, dormer or hard-to-reach runs and a $1,500 installation minimum) apply to qualifying roofline coverage. Covered-porch, pergola and other outdoor-living runs, and any custom electrical scope, are reviewed and priced separately in the written quote.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes. Brightness and schedule are set from the phone app, so the patio can be bright for dinner and low for later in the evening.

Can you install it with a new patio?

Yes. Iron Elk also builds patios, walkways and pergolas, so the lighting can be planned into the hardscape and covered in one written scope.
