Job at a glance

Work included

Roofing material is heavy. Provide roof size, layers, material, access and tear-off schedule so weight and pickup timing can be planned. The actual load moved between the pickup point and the destination, with the loading responsibility agreed in advance. Delivery does not include spreading or grading unless quoted; equipment transport depends on suitable equipment and coverage.

Access and preparation

Origin and destination, what the load is and roughly how much, and access for the vehicle and trailer at both ends.

What shapes the quote

Weight and quantity, handling, distance and, where relevant, disposal.

Planning the job

Plan collection around the roofing sequence

  • A roofing job can create debris in a short, concentrated period.
  • A container on site differs from pickup of staged debris; agree the loading responsibility with the roofer before the tear-off starts.

Keep the loading area useful to the crew

  • The proposed collection point needs to work alongside material deliveries, parked work vehicles and access to the building.
  • A position that looks convenient before work starts may be occupied by new roofing supplies on the day.
  • Specify the agreed collection locations and ground cleanup; roofing work remains with the responsible roofing contractor.

Frequently asked questions

One layer or two?

Say which when you send the squares; the second layer roughly doubles the weight, and the quote prices it straight.

Homeowner doing a tear-off?

Same service, same price logic. Rent the trailer instead if you'd rather load it yourself.
