Job at a glance

Work included

Fuel, paint, chemicals, batteries, tires and compressed cylinders must be identified before the appointment because they require separate handling. Furniture, appliances, mattresses, household items, renovation debris and outdoor clutter carried out, loaded and hauled. Anything that stays is marked before loading; item-specific conditions are confirmed in the quote.

Access and preparation

Note whether items are inside or already accessible, and any stairs, gates, doorways or tight routes on the way out.

What shapes the quote

Load volume (how much of the trailer it fills), labor and access, travel and disposal, plus any item-specific fee. The price you approve before we start is the invoice.

Want storage installed after your cleanout?

Planning the job

Clear space for parking, storage or a workbench

  • A useful garage cleanout starts with what you want the space to do afterward.
  • You may want a vehicle back inside, access to stored equipment or a work area that is no longer surrounded by old possessions.
  • Those goals help separate items that need to leave from items that simply need to stay accessible.
  • If a fixed installation also needs to come out, describe that separately so the request distinguishes clearing possessions from dismantling part of the garage's storage system.

Separate household storage from workshop material

  • Garage contents often come from several projects and stages of life.
  • Matching tools, chargers and accessories can be kept together before decisions are made about older equipment.
  • You do not need to empty the entire garage into the driveway to show the job.
  • Photos of each section and the larger pieces can establish a starting point for review.
  • If you want to retain an area for family selections or sale items, mark that area clearly.
