Job at a glance

Work included

Furniture, appliances, mattresses, household items, renovation debris and outdoor clutter carried out, loaded and hauled. Anything that stays is marked before loading; item-specific conditions are confirmed in the quote.

Access and preparation

Note whether items are inside or already accessible, and any stairs, gates, doorways or tight routes on the way out. The tub must be safely disconnected from power and water. Deck integration, access, covers, steps and surrounding structures affect the scope.

What shapes the quote

Load volume (how much of the trailer it fills), labor and access, travel and disposal, plus any item-specific fee. The price you approve before we start is the invoice.

Planning the job

Plan for the tub and the space around it

  • An unwanted hot tub may be a freestanding unit on a pad or part of a larger deck and outdoor seating area.
  • If it sits inside a deck opening, include the surrounding structure and the route beyond the deck.

Decide what you want in its place

  • Removing the tub can leave a useful open area, but the next use affects what you may want done beyond hauling.
  • Describe that intended result before the removal is priced.
  • The tub, its base and the surrounding construction are separate parts of the property.
  • Removing one does not automatically include changing the others.
  • If an old cover, disconnected equipment or loose material is also leaving, include it in the request.

Frequently asked questions

Does the electrical need to be done first?

Yes. A licensed electrician must disconnect the line before cutting; Iron Elk confirms that step before scheduling.

Can you take the deck section around it too?

Yes. Tub-and-deck combos are common, and one quote covers both. For the whole deck, see deck removal.
