Donation Pickup Options
Donation depends on condition, demand and the receiving organization’s rules. Arrange acceptance and a disposal fallback before items leave the property.
A pickup request does not guarantee acceptance or a tax receipt, so every donation plan needs a disposal fallback.

What to photograph
Show each item, its condition and any labels that identify size or model. Furniture, household goods, appliances and building materials have different acceptance rules. Clean or working condition alone does not guarantee acceptance.
Choose a receiving organization
A thrift store, reuse store or community program may accept different categories and quantities. Confirm the specific destination, delivery requirements and current acceptance before scheduling. Do not leave material outside a closed or unapproved location.
Agree on a backup
If the receiving organization declines an item, the approved plan should say whether it returns, goes to another confirmed destination or is disposed of at an agreed charge. Iron Elk confirms changes before proceeding.
Receipts and records
Any receipt supplied by the receiving organization is passed on to you. Iron Elk does not guarantee acceptance, a receipt, item valuation or tax treatment. Keep your own item list and photos for your records.
Pair donation with cleanup
One donation pickup request can include inside carries and other cleanout work. Sorting can change disposal requirements, but added trips and labor also affect the quote. Compare the complete scope.
